INDIANAPOLIS, April 15, 2020 – Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. was announced as the first finalist for the 2020 SAS Excellence in Innovation Award.

Each year, SAS recognizes a partner that has demonstrated outstanding innovation by adding their own intellectual property to SAS software in order to uniquely solve a complex customer business problem. All members of the SAS Partner Program are eligible and can submit a project in any industry or using any SAS solution or product. The project must be a valuable addition to SAS software with a customer focus and unique innovation, include some level of intellectual property, and be in production and sold to at least one customer.

Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. is honored to be the first finalist for this year’s award. Our solution involved a custom reporting solution for IoT analytics, powered by SAS® Event Stream Processing.

Pinnacle’s manufacturing customers using SAS Event Stream Processing for IoT analytics needed a flexible, lightweight web interface with customizable dashboards that would give them the best of both worlds: the power of SAS and visualizations of the data and insights that mattered most. Using open source tools, Pinnacle’s development team created completely custom dashboards for the customer that delivered on these needs and are built using widgets, enabling easy reproducibility and customization for future customers.

This project is a perfect illustration of how combining the SAS Platform and open source gives the customer the best from both.
